The good news keeps on coming! After securing funding for our new parking area, Gamrie Gardens CIC has made it through to the public voting round of the Just Transition Participatory Budgeting Fund. Now we need your help!
We've applied for £2,831.20 to buy gardening tools and native plants so our volunteers can transform the new entrance with native hedging, perennial plants and flowers for people and wildlife to enjoy.
From parking area to welcoming entrance
After years of working towards better access to Gamrie Gardens, we're excited to see things moving forward. But we don't want to stop at parking! We want to make the entrance a welcoming, wildlife-friendly space that fits naturally into the surrounding landscape.
With the right tools and plants, our volunteers can get stuck in, creating a beautiful entrance that benefits both our community and local biodiversity.
Can you help us get there?
We're now competing for public votes, and every single one counts. You can vote for Gamrie Gardens as one of five projects, helping us secure the funding we need to bring our planting plans to life.
Voting closes at 5pm on Monday 9 November, and you'll need a Grampian postcode for your vote to count.
Here's how you can help:
Share our appeal with friends, family and local groups.
Encourage others to vote, too!
We're a small rural community project, so getting our appeal out there is a big challenge. But we've come a long way since starting in 2022, and we're not giving up now!
We’re combining forces with 4 other projects that we’d love to see get funded, too.

Thank you for helping us grow something good, together.
